PATROL REPORT – August 17, 2026

August 17, 2026 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

2:54 AM Dievie Terry – 0000 continued routine security patrols throughout the assigned area, with primary focus attention on the beach and surrounding access points. observed pedestrian and vehicle traffic while checking for Beach entrances, walkways, parking, and other points of interest. monitored for individuals remaining on the beach after posted closure hours and ensure the compliance with closure requirements. removed numerous couples off Beach due to after hour closure

0100 maintain active patrols throughout the beach area. check multiple access points in areas where individuals could enter or remain on the beach after hours. observed pedestrian and vehicle traffic activity and remained alert for suspicious or unusual activity. all conditions remain normal

0200 continue patrols of the beach surrounding access points, and nearby community areas. monitor for after hours Beach activity, trespassing, disturbance, and other security concerns. conducted patrols and varying areas to maintain visibility and prevent predictable Patrol patterns. no major incidents were observed. completed final patrols of the assigned area, checking beach access points, parking, and other points of interest. continue monitoring for unauthorized beach access and suspicious activity. removed patron on beach that were drinking alcoholic beverages. male late 40s-50s and looked intoxicated. Was on the shoreline yelling at the water, after making contact and reminding of the beach closure hours he surprisingly complied. all other conditions remained normal.

10:05 PM Dievie Terry – 1900 Started routine patrol efforts focused on the community rather than beach. paid attention to each park and stayed for 15 mins watching for disturbances and unusual activity. all conditions remained clear. Noticed racquet were occupied by a woman. Observation showed that she gave as there for 30 mins and walked out. all other conditions normal.

2000 conducted another patrol of community but in reverse to avoid predictability. Monitored activity within community for disturbances and daily activity. Incident involving minor at 2050 and will be disclosed.

***Came across minor teenager that yelled and threatened me while on Bay beach. Teenager appeared to be in a black truck and occupied 3x. Patron was wearing red shorts and tan top. Tried de-escalating but he was persistent on causing disruption. he finally left saying he was a minor and brandished a knife which led me to become defensive . Also left his truck but ended up leaving. Made report to PD and instructed to stay at West Jetty Park until arrival.

2100 stayed at West Jetty Park and waited on the arrival of PD to give a full report of incident. Watching surroundings and showing security presence while following orders from PD . patrolled the Jetty and park and observed activity on jetty as well as the park and beach. Started issuing reminders on the closure of the beaches and parks at 2200. All other conditions remained normal

2200 finished report with PD and did not press charges. Instead had an event number for documentation purposes. following event, started removal of patrons off beach due to beach closure hours. attention was shifted to the shoreline and beaches .stayed on beach premises to monitor any unauthorized presence or activity . All other conditions remained normal.

3:23 AM Dievie Terry – 0000 Primary efforts were patrolling beach access points, and shoreline to prevent violators of the 2200 closure. continued maintaining a visible security presence and ensuring compliance monitored community observing nightly routine of homeowners. all conditions were normal.

0100 Did another patrol of community. attention was given to the homes in construction for possible trespassers. All clear . encountered two separate couples on the beach after closure. contacted both parties and politely advise them the beach was closed. both couples will cooperative and were escorted off the beach without further incident

0200 monitored the surrounding community and Patrol throughout the designated area carefully, observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic which was at a low, conducted thorough checks of the beach, shoreline, and access points for after hours activity. continued monitoring the community and Beach areas for safety concerns, suspicious activity, or violations of the beach closure. no additional incidents were observed during this portion of the patrol

0330 completed final patrol of the shift. secured the security vehicle and conducted a thorough patrol of the surrounding community, beach, shoreline, and designated access points. continue monitoring pedestrian and vehicle traffic while checking for additional after hours activity or safety concerns. completed detail report document earlier encounter involving minor kids who Branch a knife. insured all relevant observations

and circumstances surrounding the encounter where thoroughly documented. no further incidents were observed prior to the conclusion of the ship.
