July 27, 2026 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
12:19 AM Dievie Terry – on routine patrol noticed a vehicle that was first noticed at 2000 vehicle parked for several hours. Made contact to couple having “relations”, immediately told them to leave area and instantly complied. No further disturbances at this time.
7:25 PM Dievie Terry – Garage door left ajar 2049 E Ocean Blvd
7:37 PM Dievie Terry – Grey Nissan Pathfinder 9PWM670 Parked in red no tickets issued were issued at this time. Solely used for community awareness
10:54 PM Dievie Terry – 1900 began shift with regular patrol throughout community. attention on parks with 15 mins at each park. Attention to the racquet hall. Door left slightly ajar. Patrol all of Newport beach to show security presence and deter unauthorized activity.
2000 called to Bay Beach for a slight disturbances. deescalated situation and was met with immediate compliance. continued patrol throughout community. All conditions normal
2100 started issuing reminders for the closure of the parks and beaches. stayed on post at West Jetty to observe activity as their were higher foot traffic due to high waves.All other conditions remained normal
2200 started evacuating the beaches and parks. was met with no problems by patrons. stayed at West Jetty due to new fishermen and oncomers coming after curfew. Continued half patrol of community due to higher traffic at 2200 of the beach. All other conditions normal
