July 25, 2026 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7:23 PM Dievie Terry – 1570 E Oceanfront – garage door left ajar
11:08 PM Dievie Terry – 1900 observed immediately large crowds at West Jetty Park and congested traffic throughout community. Multiple parking violations upon arrival, once security presence was there, more compliance followed. Routine patrol throughout community with at club, beach areas, All parks and gatherings. a lot of foot traffic as well as cars double parked. All other conditions were safe and normal. Noticed neighbors were gathered near Bay Beach.
2000 Continued with routine patrol. Stayed post on each park in community for a total of 10-15 mins each. All other conditions were normal. Neighbors were still gathered together near Bay beach. All other conditions were normal
2100 Started giving notices and reminders of closure of all parks and beaches. conducted normal routine patrols throughout the community. spoken with multiple homeowners explaining the reasoning of the closure of beaches.
2200 started enforcing the closure of all beaches and parks. stayed on post at West Jetty Park and Bay Beach for known gatherings and fishermen in these selected areas at this time. All other conditions are normal. Met with some disgruntled homeowners asking if I go to the Jetty and remove patrons. Additionally met with more homeowners not happy with the lights or headlights on vehicle unit.
