June 16, 2026 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
12:00 AM Jeff Howard – 23:58 Found homeless patron from earlier complaint and successfully removed him from the kids park. Patron fully complied with orders and all other conditions were normal. Continued regular patrol of all parks, areas of interest, racquet hall, and beach access points
12:01 AM Jeff Howard – This was the assailant that was called about earlier by homeowners.
11:55 PM Jeff Howard – 2355 1641 E Balboa Blvd Door is left open all other conditions normal
11:47 PM Jeff Howard – 2335 Responded to noise compliant on Bay Beach. spotted about 6 individuals on lifeguard stand disturbing the peace and noticed some patrons were drunk. I informed them that the beaches are closed at 2200 and asked them to leave the premises. To which all parties complied and left the area. continued on with regular patrol in which all other conditions were normal.
11:12 PM Jeff Howard – 1900 Assumed watch and inspected vehicle. following inspection, started regular patrol to all conditions normal. Traffic is regular and not unordinary conditions. patrolled community , points of interest, racquet hall, and all conditions safe.
2000 conducted routine Patrol throughout the community, including all parks, beach access points, and common areas. observed moderate pedestrian and vehicle traffic consistent with normal evening activity. maintain the visible security presence checked for safety concerns parking violations, or suspicious activity, and found all conditions to be safe and normal. no incidents or disturbances were observed
2100 began providing friendly reminders to patrons throughout the beaches, parks, peers, and surrounding public areas regarding the upcoming 2200 hours closure. all have complied and acknowledged the reminder and stated they would be departing before closing time. maintain divisible security presence while continuing routine patrols of the community. no the services or other issues were observed in all conditions remain safe and normal.
2200 responded to a report of a homeless individual at 1500 East oceanfront. conducted a thorough Patrol and inspection of the reported area of concern, including surrounding walkways and nearby public access points. the individual was not located during the search. reported back to the caller that the area had been thoroughly checked and the subject was not present at the time of patrol. advise the caller that the area will continue to be monitored and that I would be vigilant for the individual throughout the remainder of my patrol. continue to routine Patrol operations with no further issues observed
2300 maintained heightened awareness for the previously reported homeless individual while continuing routine Patrol operations throughout the community, including beach access points, parks, peers, and surrounding public areas. conducted periodic checks of the reported area of concern and other locations where the individual may have been relocated. the subject was not observed during the patrol maintain the visible security presence throughout the area and encountered no additional issues. all conditions remain safe and normal.
