12:25 AM Carlos Mejia – 2350–0020 : Conducted multiple routine security patrols throughout the assigned community prior to going on lunch break. Checked designated alleyways, beaches, parks, tennis courts, common areas, pedestrian walkways, beach access points, and surrounding neighborhoods. Monitored traffic flow and observed vehicle and pedestrian activity throughout the patrol area while maintaining a visible and professional security presence.
Conducted additional visual checks of areas previously patrolled to ensure conditions remained normal and secure. Monitored beach areas and access points for any after-hours activity and remained alert for individuals attempting to enter or remain within closed areas. Checked parks and
alleyways for suspicious activity, disturbances, vandalism, or other potential security concerns. Maintained awareness of surrounding residential areas and continued proactive patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
No suspicious activity, disturbances, vandalism, or safety hazards were encountered during this patrol period. All areas checked were found to be clear and in normal condition. Completed patrol operations and proceeded on lunch break at 0020 hours.
1:59 AM Carlos Mejia – 0050 Hours: Resumed patrol operations following lunch break and continued proactive security patrol throughout the assigned community. Conducted checks of beaches, parks, alleyways, common areas, pedestrian walkways, beach access points, and
surrounding neighborhoods. Maintained a visible and professional
security presence throughout the patrol area to deter unauthorized activity and help maintain order.
0050–0145 Hours: Continued monitoring and supervising beach areas and access points for after-hours activity. Made multiple contacts with individuals remaining on the beach after the 2200-hour closure and politely informed them that the beach was closed and they were required to leave the area. Multiple individuals were successfully escorted/cleared from the beach and surrounding closed areas. Continued monitoring the beach after each contact to ensure individuals did not return and that the area remained secure.
Conducted additional patrols of parks, alleyways, common areas, and surrounding neighborhoods while monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Remained alert for suspicious behavior, disturbances, unauthorized activity, vandalism, or potential safety concerns. Maintained professional interactions with residents and members of the public encountered during
patrol and continued supervising the community to help maintain order.
No significant disturbances or safety hazards were encountered during this patrol period. All areas checked were maintained in an orderly and secure condition. Continued proactive patrol operations and maintained a visible security presence throughout the community.
1:59 AM Carlos Mejia – 0200 : Continued supervising and conducting security patrols throughout the beach area and surrounding access points. During patrol, encountered two individuals using metal detectors on the beach after hours. Made professional contact with both individuals and informed them that the beach was closed and that they were required to leave the area. Both individuals complied and were successfully removed from the beach without further incident.
Continued monitoring the beach and surrounding access points after the individuals departed to ensure the area remained clear. Maintained a visible security presence and remained alert for additional after-hours activity, unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, or potential safety concerns. Continued proactive patrol operations throughout the surrounding community.
2:48 AM Carlos Mejia – 0215–0250 : Conducted continued proactive security patrol throughout the assigned community. Checked designated beach areas, alleyways, tennis courts, parks, common areas, pedestrian

Conducted visual inspections of various locations and access points to ensure areas remained secure and free of unauthorized activity. Monitored traffic flow and observed vehicle and pedestrian activity throughout the community while maintaining a highly visible and professional security presence. Conducted repeated patrols of areas with increased nighttime activity and remained alert for suspicious persons, unusual activity, disturbances, property concerns, or potential safety hazards.

Balboa, a police officer was observed passing through the area. No contact was made and no assistance was requested. No calls for service or security-related requests were received during this period. Continued routine patrol operations and monitoring of the surrounding community.
3:17 AM Carlos Mejia – 0300–0330 Hours: Conducted final comprehensive
security patrol throughout the assigned community prior to the completion of shift. Checked and monitored beach areas, beach access points, parks, alleyways, tennis courts, surrounding neighborhoods, common areas, pedestrian walkways, and other designated areas throughout the patrol route. Conducted visual inspections of access points and areas with limited visibility to ensure conditions remained secure and to deter unauthorized after-hours activity. Continued supervision of the beach and surrounding areas following the
2200-hour closure, ensuring the area remained clear of unauthorized individuals. Monitored for any additional after-hours activity and maintained a visible security presence throughout the beach and community. Continued observing traffic flow and vehicle activity while conducting mobile patrols throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.
Completed final checks of parks, alleyways, tennis courts, and common areas. Monitored the overall condition of the community for suspicious persons, unusual activity, disturbances, vandalism, property concerns, or potential safety hazards. All areas checked were found to be clear and normal condition, with no additional suspicious activity or disturbances encountered during the final patrol.

Patrol included residential areas, beaches, parks, alleyways, common areas, beach access points, designated pedestrian pathways, and other areas of concern. Monitored normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the patrol area and remained alert for any suspicious behavior, unauthorized activity, disturbances, or safety concerns. Conducted security checks of accessible areas and confirmed conditions were normal. No suspicious activity or significant incidents were encountered during this portion of the patrol.
8:10 PM Carlos Mejia – 1950-2020 : Continued proactive patrol operations throughout the community with special attention given to parks, beaches, alleyways, common areas, and facility access points. Checked areas where after-hours activity may occur and maintained a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and other violations. Conducted a thorough check of the tennis courts and surrounding area, ensuring the courts were secured and free of unauthorized persons or activity. Checked nearby walkways, entrances, and surrounding areas for any signs of damage,
suspicious activity, or safety hazards. All areas checked were clear and remained in good order.
8:46 PM Carlos Mejia – 2025-2100: Continued routine patrol of all assigned sectors while monitoring the overall condition of the property. Checked beaches, parks, alleyways, common areas, access points, and restricted areas. Conducted additional security checks around the tennis courts and confirmed the area remained secure with no unauthorized activity observed. Monitored vehicle and pedestrian movement throughout the community and maintained situational awareness while traveling between patrol locations. No disturbances, suspicious persons, vandalism, property damage, or other security concerns were observed during this patrol period.
Conducted continued vehicle and foot patrol as needed throughout the assigned areas. Inspected multiple alleyways, beach access points, parks, common areas, and other locations requiring periodic security checks. Maintained a professional and visible security presence while observing surrounding activity. Checked restricted and after hours areas to ensure there were no unauthorized individuals present. The tennis courts were rechecked and remained secured and clear. All observed areas were found to be in normal condition with no suspicious activity or safety hazards encountered.
9:40 PM Carlos Mejia – 2100-2140: Conducted routine patrol throughout the assigned area, including alleyways, parks, tennis courts, beaches, and surrounding common areas. Maintained a visible security presence while monitoring vehicle and pedestrian activity and checking for any suspicious behavior, unauthorized activity, disturbances, or safety concerns. Conducted regular checks of the tennis courts and surrounding access points to ensure the area remained secure and free of unauthorized activity.
While patrolling the beaches and parks, contacted and professionally notified residents and other individuals in the area that the beaches and parks close at 2200 hours and that after-hours access is not permitted. Provided clear instructions and maintained a professional and courteous demeanor while reinforcing the property’s after-hours rules. Continued monitoring the area to ensure individuals complied with the closing time.
Additional patrols were conducted through the alleyways and other less trafficked
areas to maintain security visibility and deter unauthorized activity. Beaches, parks, and tennis courts were rechecked periodically throughout the shift, and security presence was maintained in areas with increased pedestrian activity. All areas observed remained orderly, and no suspicious activity, disturbances, vandalism, or other significant security
concerns were encountered during the patrol. Continued routine patrol operations through the remainder of the shift and completed final security checks prior to 0330 hours.
11:34 PM Carlos Mejia – 2200–2335: Continued after-hours closing patrols throughout the assigned beach and park areas. Maintained a visible security presence while systematically checking the beaches, parks, alleyways, access points, walkways, and surrounding areas. Continued monitoring for remaining residents, visitors, and other individuals and professionally advised those encountered that the beach and parks were closed at 2200 hours. While conducting the beach patrol, encountered individuals using metal detectors after the designated closing time. Individuals were advised that
the beach was closed and were instructed to leave the area. The individuals were initially unwilling to comply with the instructions. Security presence was maintained, and the individuals were again directed to leave the beach due to the after-hours closure. Individuals were ultimately removed from the area, and the beach was checked afterward to ensure the area was clear.
Conducted additional checks of the shoreline and beach access areas, including Lifeguard Stand G, as well as the remaining beach area and surrounding access points. Continued checking nearby parks and alleyways for unauthorized activity and maintained awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Greeted residents encountered during patrol and maintained a courteous and professional demeanor while reinforcing the property’s after-hours rules. Photographs were taken as part of routine patrol documentation. The reporting application experienced a loading issue while attempting to process the photographs, requiring the application to be closed and reopened before documentation could continue. After resolving the application issue, resumed patrol operations and completed additional checks of the beach, parks, alleyways, access points, and surrounding areas. All areas checked were found to be orderly and secure. No additional suspicious activity, disturbances, vandalism, or safety concerns were encountered during this patrol period.
