October 25, 2025 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras
7pm – On Duty, Patrolling streets and parks… Observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.
8pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.
9pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.
10pm – The pier and the beach are now closed…..I removed people fishing from the pier and I removed people from the beach and lifeguard towers.
***Someone left a fire burning in the sand near the L Street walkway beach entrance.
..
11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed, clearing all visitors from the park.
12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction.
1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… I am deterring vehicles from parking near jetty park and from entering the beach..
2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…..Checking on homes under construction and observing vehicles entering BPP.
***2:32am – I noticed a Lincoln SUV parked on G Street and I stopped a small group from entering the beach. I spotted the vehicle again parking on Ocean & L Street and again I stopped them from entering the beach.
***2:50am – I noticed a vehicle driving through the community and I was curious to who this could be, at M Street & Balboa the driver of an Acura SUV stopped in front of me and got of his vehicle and approached me in an hostile manner asking me “why are you following me?!!” I told him that I am security and I want to find out who you are, he was delivering newspapers and I told him that I usually don’t see the delivery of newspapers before my shift is over, he told me that I am not the police and I shouldn’t be following him and then he proceeded to call Newport Beach Police. At 3:08am the Newport Beach police arrived and cleared the scene.
