PATROL REPORT – May 10, 2025

May 10, 2025 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras

7pm – On Duty, Patrolling streets and parks… Observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.*** 2 large construction vehicles are parked near L Street Park.

8pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.

9pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity to report.

10pm – The pier and the beach are now closed, warning visitors that the beach and pier are now closed.

*** 10:29pm – I removed several people from the beach between L and M Street. A dead pelican is on the shore in the same area.

*** 10:39pm –  I removed several people from the beach between M Street and the Wedge.

..

11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed, clearing all visitors from the park. *** I removed a man and a woman from L Street lifeguard tower and from the beach.

*** 11:16pm – I removed several people fishing from the Jetty Park.

*** 11:55pm – I removed 3 men fishing from the pier.

12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction. *** I removed a small group of people from the beach near M Street.

*** 12:18am – I received a telephone call from a resident about loud music coming from 1701 E. Balboa Blvd. Upon my arrival I heard the loud music and I knocked on the door but no one responded. A guest was arriving to the house and I asked him if he could ask the person renting the house to come outside and talk to me. The renter came out and we talked about the loud music and he agreed to turn down the music. After 10 minutes the music was on again, I called Newport Beach Police and I returned to patrol.

*** 12:54am – I removed a man and a woman from the beach from the Wedge.

1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… I am deterring vehicles from parking near jetty park and from entering the beach. *** I removed 3 people from the L Street lifeguard tower and from the beach.

2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…..Checking on homes under construction and observing vehicles entering BPP.

3am – Off Duty.
