July 14, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras
7pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.
8pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity to report.
9pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no problems to report.
10pm – Removing several people from the pier and warning people the beach is closed.
11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed and I have cleared the park of all visitors.
12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. After my patrol I return to the Jetty park area to remove people from the beach and the park.
1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. As I return to the Jetty Park from patrolling I continue removing people from the beach and Jetty Park. **At 1:56 am I noticed a brown or gold honda odyssey minivan parked on E. Ocean Blvd near Channel Rd with the brake lights blinking. I believe someone is toying with me by clicking the remote to draw my attention to the vehicle.
2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…..it is mostly quiet but I follow vehicles driving towards the Jetty park to deter them from entering the beach or the park with my presence.
3am – No problems to report…. Off Duty.
