PATROL REPORT – September 22, 2024

September 22, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras

7pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.

8pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.

9pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no problems to report.

10pm – Removing several people from the pier and warning people the beach is close.

**10:29pm I observed a light colored Buick SUV with 4 occupants parked in front of 1412 E. Oceanfront playing music loud, I asked them to lower the sound and they decided to walk towards the beach, I told them the beach is closed, one female appeared to be intoxicated because she was stumbling as she tried to walk. They returned to their vehicle and drove away in a reckless manner on E. Ocean Blvd and made a right turn on I Street….again they attempted to enter the beach and at this point I asked them to leave the peninsula, I escorted them as far as F Street and I returned to my patrol.

11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed and I cleared the park of all visitors.

12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, deterring people from entering beach and the park.

1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. I am deterring vehicles from parking near jetty park and from entering the beach.

2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.

3am – No problems to report…. Off Duty.
