PATROL REPORT – June 29, 2024

June 29, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras

7pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicles and pedestrian movement and checking homes under construction.

8pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks……observing vehicles and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.

9pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicles and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.

10pm – Securing pier and warning people the beach is closed.

*10:26pm – I received a telephone call from a resident of people talking loud arguing on L Street near Miramar Drive. Upon my arrival I heard a male and two females arguing, I approached them and they said they were locked out of their vehicle, a gray Sequoia, and were waiting for a locksmith. I warned them to keep the noise down or I would call the police, they continued to argue and I called Newport Beach Police, at 10:36pm Newport Beach Police arrived and so did the locksmith. The vehicle alarm was activated from the locksmith trying to open the door, the vehicle was unlocked and the police and the locksmith departed from the area.

11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed and informing people of park closure.

12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. vehicles are arriving to the jetty Park area, I am stopping people before they enter the Park and Beach.

1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Observing vehicles driving towards jetty Park, I returned to the jetty Park to stop them from entering the park or beach.

2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…..the sprinkler heads from the jetty Park might be broken because the water is flooding out into the street.

3am – No problems to report…. Off Duty.
