July 29, 2025 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7:00-8:00….
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then I patrolled across to channel Rd and down to jetty park and across ocean Blvd to G street access and F street Access points. Then I patrolled back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and over to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then back across Balboa Blvd to G street and across Miramar drive to channel Rd and down to ocean Blvd and up M street to Balboa Blvd. All is normal for now….
8:00-9:00…..
I then patrolled across to G street and back across Miramar drive to Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and across to M street and up Seville to Balboa Blvd. Then back down to jetty park and across ocean Blvd to G street access and F street Access points. Then I patrolled across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. All is well for now….
9:00-10:00….
I then patrolled across ocean Blvd to G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and down to jetty park. I then patrolled across ocean Blvd to G street and back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues. I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to G street and back across Miramar drive to channel Rd again. Then back up to the fishing pier for closure.*** A few people on the pier. All cooperative about leaving so far…..
10:00-11:00…..
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and back across Balboa Blvd to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. All clear. Then back down to jetty park and across ocean front alley to G street access and F street Access points. All clear for now. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and over to the fishing pier. Then back across Balboa Blvd to channel Rd and across Miramar drive to channel Rd again*** tsunami advisory for 1:00. All is calm at this time. I then patrolled across to jetty park for closure.*** A couple people all cooperative about leaving***. The quad was out on the beach telling people that it was closed…..
11:00-12:00….
After walking the east side of the beach I patrolled across ocean front alley to L Street Access and I street access and G street access points. All clear for now. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel and up to Seville and Granada avanues and over to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then back across Miramar drive to Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. All is well for now…..
12:00-1:00…
I then patrolled across ocean Blvd.** A lot of kids want to go out to the beach/ wedge primarily. I’ve managed to stop them for now. I then patrolled across ocean front alley to G street access.** A couple of people near the lifeguard tower. All cooperative about leaving. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and jetty park. More teenagers trying to go down to the beach. They want to see the tsunami. I keep telling them it’s closed. It’s closed anyway, especially tonight !!…..
1:00-2:00….
A couple more people looking for the tsunami. Nothing yet. They left without incident at jetty park . I then patrolled across ocean Blvd.*** I had a few people in a car. Teenagers. They were wisecracking me for a minute. I told they could leave or have the police escort them. Then they left without incident. Then I patrolled across to G street and back across Miramar drive to Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. All is well. No tsunami yet…
2:00-3:00….
I then patrolled across ocean front Blvd to G street access and F street Access points. All clear. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and jetty park. *** I had a few people on the wedge lifeguard tower. They left upon request. Then I patrolled back across ocean Blvd to G street and back across ocean alley north to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and over to the fishing pier. All clear. I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to G street and back across Miramar drive to Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. And I ran into to the same group of teenagers again. I then escorted them off the point and reported them to the police. The police drove out by that time they were gone.Then a complete perimeter and interior patrol of the neighborhood. All is well code 4 patrolled…..
