PATROL REPORT – January 23, 2026

January 23, 2026 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras

7pm – On Duty, Patrolling streets and parks… Observing vehicle movement and residents walking their pets.

8pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.

9pm – Patrolling streets and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement.

10pm – The pier and the beach are now closed….. removing people from The lifeguard towers and the beach.

..

11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed, I removed visitors from the park.

***11:18pm – I called Newport Beach Police for a white Nissan Sentra playing music very loud. 11:43pm Newport Beach Police arrived and talked to the two men in the white Nissan Sentra.

12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction.

***12:00am – I stopped a small group that wanted to enter the jetty view park to eat pizza and I told them it was closed, they drove down to the small pier and started to sit on the bench and I explained to them that this area is also closed, they drove away from the peninsula after I explain the closing times.

***12:25am – I removed a small group from the L Street lifeguard Tower and from the beach.

1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… I am deterring approaching vehicles from parking near the jetty park and from them entering any other of  the beach entrances.

***1:18am – I stopped a small group that wanted to enter the jetty view park, they drove to the M Street beach insurance and I advise them that the beach is closed at this time and they drove away.

2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…..Checking on homes under construction and observing vehicles entering BPP.

3am – Off Duty.
