August 6, 2025 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7:00-8:00…
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then across to channel Rd and down to jetty park and across ocean Blvd to G street access and F street Access points. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and all streets on the east side of the neighborhood. Then back across Balboa Blvd to G street and back across Miramar drive to I street and over to L Street and L Park and across to M street and back down to jetty park and up to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. All is normal for now…
8:00-9:00….
I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to channel Rd and down to jetty park.** Busy out. No surprise. Then I patrolled across ocean Blvd to G street access and F street Access points and back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and over to M street and back down to ocean Blvd. Then back across ocean Blvd to G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. I then patrolled across to G street again and back across Miramar drive to I street and over to L Street and L Park and across to channel Rd and up to the clubhouse. All is well for now….
9:00-10:00…
I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. I then patrolled down to jetty park and across ocean Blvd to G street access and F street Access points. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and back across Balboa Blvd to G street. Then back across Miramar drive to channel and up to the fishing pier for closure. *** A few people all cooperative about leaving….
10:00-11:00….
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and back across Balboa Blvd to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. The Pier is clear. Then across to channel Rd and down to jetty park and across ocean front alley to G street access and F street Access points. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and up to Seville and Granada avanues and back across Balboa Blvd to Miramar drive. Then I patrolled across Miramar drive to channel Rd and jetty park for closure.*** Several people on the benches and the beach. (A climbing swell coming in). All cooperative about leaving for now….
11:00-12:00….
I then patrolled across ocean front alley to G street and up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then back to Miramar drive and Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. Then back down to jetty park. All clear. Then back across ocean Blvd to G street and up to Balboa Blvd and across to channel Rd. Then a complete perimeter and interior patrol of the neighborhood…
12:00-1:00….
I then patrolled across ocean front alley to M street. All clear. L Street. All clear. I street. All clear. G street. All clear. Access points. Then back across ocean Blvd to channel Rd and jetty park. A few people on the outer jetty fishing***. A few people in there cars. All cooperative. For now. I then patrolled up Channel Rd to the fishing pier and the clubhouse and across Balboa Blvd to G street and back across Miramar drive to Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. All is well for now…..
1:00-2:00….
I then patrolled across ocean front alley to M street*** I had a couple on the beach. All about leaving. Then I street access. All clear. Then L Street Access. All clear. Then G street access and F street Access. *** 1 couple on the lifeguard tower. All cooperative about leaving. I then patrolled up to E bay Ave and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then back across Balboa Blvd to Miramar drive and Miramar alley to I street and I alley and L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side. All is well for now…
2:00-3:00….
I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to G street Access and F street Access points. All clear . Then back out to A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and back across Balboa Blvd to channel Rd and down to jetty park. A few fisherman on the outer jetty****2:45 am.I have a man sleeping in his van on ocean Blvd. In front of 2161 ocean Blvd.. I’ve informed Newport Beach police. They said they would send somebody out. I told the man repeatedly he can’t sleep there. He’s just not responding well. I then patrolled across to G street and up to Miramar drive and Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L Street and L Park and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. All is well. For now. Still waiting on Newport Beach police to arrive. Newport Beach police have arrived. They are speaking to the man in the van. I spoke to officer Hill. The man has been drinking. Officer Hill is going to let him sleep it off until 6:00 am at that time the Newport Beach police will patrol the area and assess the situation. All is well code 4 patrolled….
