Security Patrol Comments

The Newport Beach Police Department wants to thank and recognize the CFBPP for its investment and maintenance of the LPR located on Peninsula Point. This technology helps us with our investigative and life-saving efforts surrounding events that occur in the neighborhood. We appreciate the partnership and the efforts the community is taking to make the Peninsula Point as safe and secure as possible.

One evening a friend and I began to cross from the park to Ocean Avenue when a truck pulled out of a parking spot and headed toward us; the driver flashed the lights at us, then suddenly he laid on his horn and accelerated toward us. We ran across the street. At just that moment, Sean, the security guard on duty that evening, approached and had clearly witnessed what occurred. He then intercepted the truck as it began a U-turn and asked the driver if there was a problem, and next, he turned around and drove to us to make sure we were ok. What a relief to know that Sean was paying close attention to this event and willing to make his presence known to calm a very stressful encounter!

Would be property thieves on the Peninsula Point continue to come up with new ways to steal. They target empty homes that are up for sale and other houses that have been tented for fumigation. The CFBPP board of directors has become aware of these new tactics and asked us to surveil empty homes for sale and tented houses.
